hi-im-rae asked: In response to the "C'mon Home Deopt" post. This is why Home Depot offer and Extended Protection Plan. AND!! It would be wise to read the entire warranty information once you purchase the product. Home depot offers a min 30 day warranty to give you time to do so. Next time purchase the E.P.P and you wouldn't have this problem. They would of sent you a gift card for the full amount of the product with in 24 hrs guaranteed. Don't blame Home Depot for the manufacturer being a fuck up.
The problem was that Home Depot was supporting a manufacturer that was not honoring their warranty. The extended plan with Home Depot covers the product for an additional length of time AFTER the warranty expires, and this product was still under warranty. It would not be an issue if this was an isolated incident, but there were hundreds of other customers having the same problem, so it then became a large, highly-trusted company selling faulty products. They also deleted our review of the product when we stated Ryobi wasn’t honoring the warranty. Once Home Depot’s corporate office contacted Ryobi on our behalf, Ryobi sent us a new mower, and Home Depot gave us a gift card for our trouble. Obviously they thought it was a problem as well.
